Our Story

A Father. A Daughter.
One standard.

My dad learned the craft in a small Tuscan workshop. By the time he was 30, he could cut a hide blindfolded. In 1996, he opened Bellatorri—a promise to make bags the way the old masters did. I grew up playing with leather scraps on the workshop floor. Now I work beside him. He cuts. I stitch. Nothing ships until we're both satisfied.

How We Work

Every bag passes through 47 individual steps. Here are the four that matter most.

I

Select

We reject 70% of hides. Only full-grain Tuscan leather with natural character makes it to our workshop.

II

Cut

Each piece is cut by hand. Dad's been doing this for 28 years. His cuts are within 0.5mm—every time.

III

Stitch

Double-needle saddle stitch. 8 per centimeter. The same method used in Tuscany for 500 years. It will never unravel.

IV

Inspect

Every bag is checked twice. By me, then by dad. He's rejected my work more times than I'd like to admit.

"Leather has a soul. Our job is to let it show."
